The Hout Bay Yacht Club

I am not quite a founder member of the HBYC but with around thirty three years (33) membership, I must be close? The idea was started with a mass meeting at the old Hout Bay Hotel Rotunda Room, the place was packed, so much in fact, you had to stand up, there was just no space to sit!

Sail training takes place each thursday and quite early, so around 5.30pm.

The HBYC is a popular stop over for world cruisers, here some are bringing stores onto the marina to stock up their yachts for the next leg of their voyage.

How nice is that!
